Our leadership program beings with a focused program for girls who have completed grade 8-- the
older camper program. The major goals of the older camper program are to:
- Develop confident and adventurous young women
- Provide young women with an understanding of the concepts of leadership, and how the skills
apply to camp and the other communities they are part of

Older Camper Program
Participants: girls finished grade 8
Program Goals:
- build self-confidence and skills
- participate in regular activities
- working towards intermediate tests in
three activities
1) pass an intermediate test
in at least one activity of their
choice
2) working to pass intermediate tests
in Campcraft and Boating
Community Service:
- participate in a service project at camp or
in the broader community collaborating
with the Nature Conservancy, local Food
Shelf, the Green Mountain Club-trail
work, community gardens, assisting
seniors, etc.
- each girl may contribute an article to the
"Bubbler" (camp newsletter) during the
session they are at camp.
Challenges:
- completion of a three- five mile hike
- "excellent" in inspection daily
- cabin overnight/sleepout
- successful building of a fire that lasts more
than five minutes
