Lorrie Byrom is Director and co-owner
of Betsey Cox. Her winter work takes
her to the Connecticut River Valley and
Northfield Mount Hermon School,
where she has served in a variety of
capacities throughout her tenure.
Currently, she is a history educator with
a special interest in global relationships.
This interest leads her to work in the
NMH Office of International Studies,
lead student education overseas, advise
the Model UN, and to travel herself,
throughout the world. Lorrie's global
interests bring experiences to our
campers and our camp community that
are unique and life-changing.
Devri Byrom, fills the role of one of the
assistant directors at Betsey Cox and our
winter office director. She is a camp alumni,
starting her camp career before most, as the

at camp through college and then went
exploring; working in non-traditional
educational settings-many of them on the
ocean. She holds a Masters of Science in
environmental education from Antioch New
England Graduate School. She continues to
work in education in a variety of venues
throughout the year in Midcoast Maine,
where she spends the winter months.
Mike Byrom is co-owner of Betsey
Cox, associate director, and

brother camp. Mike is an dedicated
educator; invested in creating
excitement and experiences in the
outdoors for young people of all
ages. Mike draws on his passion for
education to create unique
opportunities for campers.
Sangamon and Betsey Cox offer a
space for young people to be
themselves and learn to be part of a
community. An avid sailor and
kayaker, you can often find him on
the water in the off-season.
