Girls enjoy learning a variety of outdoor skills in the Campcraft program. They learn to build a safe outdoor fire and to cook a healthy meal over an open flame-often with ingredients from our own camp garden! They are taught life-long knot tying skills, which is put to the test by building shelters and cooking tripods. They learn about outdoor safety and leadership techniques both in camp and on out-of-camp explorations along the nearby Long Trail and Appalachian Trail systems.
Hike Day is a camp tradition that allows campers and staff to adventure off-camp into the Vermont countryside each week. Girls explore mountains, woods, swimming holes, lakes, and trails. Everyone goes on Hike Days and each girl is guaranteed a great time!

Hiking, swimming, rockclimbing, camping, biking, caving, boating & cooking. You choose what you want to do.

The development of outdoor self-confidence & skills for each camper is a primary focus of the Betsey Cox program.
We have a great adventure course! Betsey Cox offers experiences on our low ropes course designed to encourage self-confidence, teamwork, and challenge-by-choice. We have an 8 foot high bouldering "castle" and indoor/outdoor climbing walls to further challenge camper climbing skills. Girls who are 12 years old and up, are offered opportunities to go rockclimbing in the surrounding Green Mountains with a local climbing company and our own certified and trained staff.
